Schedule
Gentle Dragon is in operation 8:30 am - 1:00 pm Monday through Friday, 11 months of the year (closed in August.) Holidays and school vacations follow the Medford Public School calendar. The school offers 3, 4, and 5 day options. While there is no extended day program, various after school options may be available through our informal network of families.

Admissions
Priority is given to siblings of current and alumni Gentle Dragon families. Further selection of children and families is based on our commitment to balance each class by age, gender, and cultural diversity, and to foster a community of families who are enthusiastic about being involved in a cooperative school. We do not discriminate in providing services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, national origin, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability.

Tuition Payments
Tuition for the 2007 / 2008 school year (three days/week $377.00/month; four days/week $419.00/month; five days/week $450.00/month) is due during the first week of each month and no later than the 10th of the month. Having committed to a yearlong agreement, families are responsible for eleven months of tuition regardless of vacations, etc. Families may opt to increase or decrease the number of days attending on a monthly basis. An extra fee of $20.00/day is applied if you elect to send your child for an occasional extra day.

In the instance where one family will be sending two children simultaneously, the policy has allowed a choice of two options: Full tuition for both children with one and one half the parent help responsibility, or twice the parent help responsibility with a 10% reduction in total tuition. The chosen option is communicated by the family to the Admissions Coordinator prior to the start of the school year.
